Whatever the case, we encourage you to gather up the information that you need to have (it’s simple, don’t worry!) so this is no longer a mystery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Why do you refer to them as wisdom teeth? Do they have any other names?

Answer: When you hear this term, remember to look on the “wisdom” part as it pertains to your age. The older you get, the wiser you get (hopefully). These teeth develop last. They’re your third set of molars to grow in (hence their other name: third molars). They generally show up by the beginning of your twenties.

Question: How can I figure out if my wisdom teeth are healthy enough to be left alone or if I’m going to need to have them removed? Is there a cut-off age?

Answer: You don’t need to do anything on your own. All you need is your dental checkup with us twice a year. We can always remove a wisdom teeth causing you problems. However, the sooner the better.

Question: What should I do to ensure my child’s smile remains healthy and that problematic third molars don’t end up presenting a serious problem or even damage?

Answer: The answer is pretty much the same as the answer for your own needs. Bring your child in for consistent dental checkups and we can ensure we address problems with your son or daughter’s wisdom teeth ASAP.
