The Virginia Legends Walk takes place daily at the Oceanfront! The walk makes its way along 13th Street between Atlantic avenue and Pacific avenue, and points out the birth places and residences of famous Virginians, such as Edgar Allan Poe, Booker T Washington, Patsy Cline, Thomas Jefferson, and more. This is a self-guided tour, so you and your family can go anytime you like.

Live! On Atlantic
If you’re planning a summer trip, don’t forget about Live! On Atlantic, which takes place from June through Labor Day Weekend. The event is located at 4500 Holland Office Park, Suite 318. There are all kinds of live performances for you and your family to enjoy, such as costumed characters, jugglers, musicians, and magicians. The event is totally free, and there is always something unique happening.

Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge
If you and your family want to enjoy a little outdoor fun, then be sure to stop by the Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge. This is over 9,108 acres of dunes, woodland, marshes, barrier islands, forest, ponds, and gorgeous beaches! Wildlife includes the endangered loggerhead sea turtles, as well as peregrine falcons, bald eagles, and more. There are stunning scenic trails, a visitors center, and you can schedule educational group activities or attend fun events hosted by the Refuge.
