Meet the Absolute Dental Care Staff

April – Registered Dental Assistant
April graduated from college in 1991 and joined our practice in August 2018. She specializes in restorative dentistry. For the community, she helps older couples by cleaning their houses, taking care of their animals, or with whatever they need. April enjoys helping patients feel better about themselves and making them smile, and she loves hearing about their lives and their individual stories. Her hobbies include reading, doing puzzles, enjoying warm weather outside, bowling, and music. Her favorite quote: “Look to the silver lining. The glass is half full.”

Aura – Dental Assistant
Aura graduated from Altierus Career College in 2018 and joined our practice the same year. She loves interacting with patients because they are always teaching her something new. Aura’s hobbies include crafting, traveling, and dancing. Her favorite quote: “Do the right thing for the right reason.”

Lindsay – Dental Assistant
Lindsay graduated from Centura College in 2009 and joined our team in 2020. She has a certificate in periodontics. Lindsay loves helping others and the different aspects of dentistry. She enjoys that all our patients are friendly with unique personalities. Lindsay’s hobbies include going to the beach, making jewelry, and gemstones. Her favorite quote: “This too shall pass.”

Nicole – Dental Assistant
Nicole is a graduate of the Ozarks Technical College, earning her Associate in Science in Dental Assisting. She joined our team in 2021, and has since earned certifications in CPR and Basic Life Support, as well as Enteral and Parenteral Conscious and Deep Sedation.

Nicole appreciates the opportunity to help relieve pain and help people get their smile back. She loves how different each patient is, and looks forward to building a relationship with them to make their dental experience better!

Nicole has volunteered with a number of organizations in her community, including the Lift Up Springfield Free Clinic, the Missouri Mission of Mercy, and also provided dental screenings in public schools. She also worked at a Dental Health Education Clinic hosted by Goodwill in daycare facilities across the state.

When not in the office, Nicole likes beach days, exploring new places with her dog, camping, and enjoying the outdoors. She is also a big supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs!

Amy S – Registered Dental Hygienist
Amy received her BS degree in dental hygiene from Old Dominion University in 1985. She joined our practice in 2013 and is a member of the ADHA. She loves working with her awesome co-workers and experiencing her patients’ positive attitudes. In her free time, Amy enjoys cooking, gardening, and bicycling. Her favorite quote: “You don’t have to floss all of your teeth, just the ones you want to keep.”

Joshua – Registered Dental Hygienist

Joshua attended Santa Fe College in Florida and the Dental Hygiene Community College of the Air Force. He joined our practice in September 2017 and is anesthesia certified. He loves helping our patients achieve good oral health and learning about their lives. Joshua is a family man, with a wife and two children. His favorite quote: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”

Morgan – Registered Dental Hygienist

Morgan graduated cum laude from Old Dominion University with a BS degree in dental hygiene in 2014. She joined our practice in February 2015. She loves being able to help patients achieve their oral health needs, while establishing a trusting relationship and making connections with them. Outside of work, Morgan is involved with her church’s nursery ministry. Her hobbies include making jewelry, metalsmithing, and going to the beach.

Nancy – Dental Hygienist

Nancy joined our team as a dental hygienist in 2020, and always looks forward to helping our patients obtain bright and healthy smiles. When not in the office, Nancy enjoys gardening, going to the beach, and reading.

Brittany – Front Desk

Brittany was born and raised in Virginia Beach and graduated from the University of South Carolina, where she majored in psychology. She joined our practice in 2012 and loves being able to help people and seeing them leave with big smiles on their faces. In her free time, Brittany enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, and traveling.

Malanie – Front Desk

Malanie is a Virginia Beach local who grew up in the Bayside area. She joined our practice in 2017 and is CPR and EMT certified. She loves that she can help bring smiles to patients’ faces and enjoys answering any questions they may have. When Malanie is not at work, she loves going to the beach and spending time with her two dogs, Benny (Goldendoodle) and Rambo (Jack Russell Terrier). She also volunteers for the Virginia Beach Rescue Squad, where she gets to help save lives. Her favorite quote: “Life could be worse.”

Janice – Lab Manager

Janice joined our practice in 1995. She feels that she has met some of the nicest people as patients while working for Dr. Folck for the past 26 years. Her hobbies include raising and playing with her cats.

Gabrielle – Patient Coordinator

Gabrielle joined our practice in 2022 after graduating from Florida State College of Jacksonville, where she majored in biology. She has always been interested in all aspects of the dental field, and she loves the opportunities it provides to learn new things. She particularly enjoys working with patients because she can build valuable, long-lasting relationships. When she’s not in the office, she loves boating with her family in Florida, scalloping, and exploring new parks and beaches. Her favorite quote is from Mark Twain: The secret of getting ahead is getting started.”
