During this year’s Neptune Festival (and after other events for the festival conclude), Virginia Beach is playing host to the international Sand Sculpting Championship! During this special event, Virginia Beach residents and area visitors will be able to go out and look at the different entries that will be part of this year’s competition. From Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 9, a tent housing this year’s competition will be open to the public to view.

When:
The entrants in this year’s international Sand Sculpting Competition will be on display from Friday, September 30 through Sunday, October 9. The tent housing these entries will be open from 9am until 11pm on September 30 and October 1; from 9am until 9pm on October 2; and from 9am until 6pm October 3 through 9.
Where:
The competition is happening on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. The tent entrance can be found on 7th Street.
Cost:
A $7 cash entrance fee is required to see the sculptures. Children ages 12 and younger will be admitted at no cost when they are joined by a parent or guardian.

You can see the different entries that are on display as part of this year’s Sand Sculpting Championship! There will also be special classes on sand sculpting offered at different periods while the display is running.
