Journey to Nature’s Underworld
You and your family can enjoy a little art and culture in Virginia Beach with Mark Dion and Alexis Rockman: journey to Nature’s Underworld Exhibit. This takes place at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art on 2200 Parks Avenue from 10am to 4pm daily through June 9th. The exhibit consists of 30 large scale paintings and sculptures created by these artists over a period of 30 years. The theme is humanity’s difficult relationship with nature. Rainforest Adventure
The Virginia Aquarium will be hosting the Rainforest Adventure exhibit from now through April 28th! This interactive maze lets kids explore different habitats from around the world. They can swing like spider monkeys, leap like frogs, and discover so much about diverse and endangered ecosystems from around the globe. A fun activity for kids of all ages! Farmers Market
Your whole family will enjoy a day at the Shore Drive Farmers Market, which takes place each Saturday from 9am until 12:25pm at 2945 Shore Drive. Admission is free and the event is hosted by the Lynnhaven Coffee Company. You can find new foods and items made by local artisans, with a little something for everyone. Lynnhaven Coffee Company will have coffee on hand, and Full Quiver Farms will have fresh cooked sausage sandwiches.
