Summer is ending and the weather is taking an autumn turn, but that doesn’t mean you have to sit at home! There are still tons of fun events happening in our community. Pajama Llama
The Pajama Llama overnight llama trek takes place on Saturday, September 9th at 350 Independence Bouvard from 8:30am until 6:30pm. The round-trip event will leave this location and return Sunday morning, depending on traffic. Just arrive at the REI with your ticket and signed waiver. Total cost is $150. Camping gear is provided, but you will need to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow. You can see beautiful views and enjoy this event with the entire family.
India Fest
India Fest is taking place Saturday, September 9th from 11am until 7pm at 1000 19th Street, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center. There will be Bollywood dances, yoga demonstrations, music and cuisine, jewelry, henna, and more! Tons of exhibits to visit, and free admission and parking is available too. A great way to learn about new cultures and try new experiences, with fun for the whole family.
Movies in the Plaza
Movies in the Paza have started, and will run through October 28th at the Town Center Fountain Plaza. Admission is free and the movies start at 7:30pm in September, and 6:30pm in October. You can bring your own chairs and blankets, and there is limited seating so arrive early. There is also free popcorn! The movies will include The Super Mario Bros Movie, Up, and Hocus Pocus.
