Surfing Championship
The 61st Annual Coastal Edge East Coast Surfing Championship (ECSC) will take place from now through August 27th at the Oceanfront on 1st Jetty Street. This is open to the public and one of the oldest surfing competitions in the world! This year is the 111st championship, so don’t miss out! You can find out more information right here.
Mural Festival
The 6th Annual Mural Festival is presented by ViBe Creative District and will take place from now through Sunday! Admission is free, and you can see 10 new murals by different artists both local and national. They will be competed through the arts district in a 10-day time frame. You can meet the artists while they work, and there will be free events and programs all weekend. There is free parking near ViBe Park on 18th Street. Summer Fest
Summer Fest only has a few more days! You can enjoy this annual event from now through September 3rd at Town Center Fountain Plaza from 5:30pm until 8:30pm. Admission is free, and you can see performances from specialty acts and local musicians. There I also outdoor seating and food, plus all the sights and sounds of Town Center! Bands performing include Doorway Singers, The Taylors, and Frank Sings Frank. Learn more here.
Be Still Exhibition
The Be Still Exhibition is presented by the Virgina Beach Art Center and takes place from now through Sunday, so don’t miss out! The exhibit is at the Artists Gallery at the Virginia Beach Art Center, located on 523 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Suite A. You can see juried art from regional artists, and the works focus on still life in a variety of different mediums. You can find out more here.
