What Is The Dinner Detective
The Dinner Detective is the country’s largest comedic, interactive murder mystery dinner theatre show. It is a completely immersive experience, as the actors are not in costume- they’re hidden among the audience! You will get to solve a hilarious crime while eating a delicious dinner and interacting with those around you as you attempt to discover who the culprit is. You may even find yourself a prime suspect! The current script is “The Hollywood Hit,” and the top sleuth from the evening will take home a prize package for solving the case.
Where Is It Being Held?
The Dinner Detective is currently playing at the Wyndham Virginia Beach Oceanfront located at 5700 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA, 23451. There is free parking onsite, making it a convenient destination.
When Are the Shows?
Shows are select Saturdays each month through March from 6 PM to 9 PM, with more dates potentially being made available. Tomorrow’s show is sold out, but there are still tickets available for the following dates:

- February 8th
- February 15th
- February 22nd
- March 7th
- March 21st
How Much Are Tickets and Where Can I Get Them?
Tickets can be purchased on the Dinner Detective website and are $59.95 per person (adults 18 and up) which includes a full four course meal including chicken breast with a thyme sauce, rockfish in a creamy romesco sauce, or a quinoa stuffed bell pepper with balsamic glaze, as well as the opportunity to solve the crime as the show goes on around you and take home the prize basket. An additional add-on is available for some nights: you can pay an extra $19.95 to have a member of your party listed as a prime suspect without their knowledge, which is great for birthdays and other special events.
