Cape Henry Lighthouse
With the cooler fall weather, now is a great time to head outdoors! You and your family could visit the historic Cape Henry Lighthouse, the 4th oldest in the nation, and even visit inside and climb the stairs! This is open to the public and the entry is free. You can enjoy an amazing 360-degree view of the coast.
Visit Hunt Club Farm
The Hunt Club Farm offers a petting farm, tree walk, and a bird aviary for you and your family to visit. This is open daily from 10am until 6pm, and admission is only $15 a person, but you can also buy $10 tickets for pony rides. You can visit the farm at 2388 London Bridge Road. This is a family-owned business, with 30 acres of fun for your family to enjoy. They can see parakeets and doves, take a pony ride, and enjoy a nature walk. There is a Harvest Fair in the fall, and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Words Matter Art Exhibit
Enjoy this juried exhibit of local art on the importance of words! Presented and hosted by the Artists Gallery at the Virginia Beach Art Center, this is open from now through October 1st, and is located at 523 Virginia Beach Boulevard, Suite A. Admission is free!
